I am sad to hear of your passing my dear sister. The love I had for you will always be in my heart till the day we see each other again. You are not gone, you are in transition. You was a true friend and sister-inlaw, always there to give a helping hand when I needed it. When my heart ache and in pain, you was there to lift my spirits. We laughed, told a few jokes, overall we loved and cared for one another. These are memories that I've treasured all these years. even thou we lost track of one another, we finally after 20 plus years we found each other to loss you so soon. You are a very talentive and gifted person, the lord will love and enjoy you in heaven. Now my friend you can rest in peace in our lord's home. He will take good care of you. I will miss you very much and I will cry tears of sorrow, but in the long run I know that you are in a better place, where there's no more pain, no more worries. So my beautiful loving dear to my heart sister-inlaw, now is time for you to rest.  RIP Millie

what a lovely friend millie was !

Mildred was a very special sister-in-law.  She loved music, poems, and art.
We connected the first day I saw her in 1986.  Millie had a gracious heart!   She loved her children and family a lot.
She was always willing to help others, and made me laugh a lot.
I used to start my day by visiting her early in the morning around 6am.  She always greeted me with a smile.  She  was always a gracious hostess for any one that came to her house.  She never forgot to hug and kiss your cheek.  Shje was always doing a beauty project and loved decorating her home.  Sometimes we'd take a walk or go places together and just have fun!
She was a mentor to me ... I saw her every day back  then....she shared lots of stories with me and we laughed together a lot.  She loved poetry and always encouraged me in my music.
one day She gave me a book of all the poetry she created.   Some poems had been published.
She encouraged me to make songs of her poetry.   I thought OMG!!! this would take 2 lifetimes.!)    I was very  thankful.
She had written so many
.  She cared a lot about life, nature and "the underdogs of the world.  1) Mother Natures cry
where she expressed her love and concern for nature.  She loved flowers and nature  She spoke of man's responsibility to care for plants and animals.

2)Love lies in every Rose

She spoke of how a friendship is like a rose in bloom, and spoke of friendships and how  she appreciated her friends.

3) Imagine that
about a person who found out they had aides, and was about to have a heart attack

I'm going to miss her very much , there's so many things I can say but like her poem says love is important and everlasting and it never dies, so farewell my sister you will always live in my heart

"Love lies hidden  in every Rose"
"The beauty of a rose is so true....so is the friendship I found in you
a rose blossems from a bud...just like a friendship blossems into love......".

'CONTINUED FROM THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD...

March 23, 2012

As a young boy I was troubled by the language of this verse and thought the expression, “I shall not want,” meant that David didn’t want the shepherd. Now I understand that David meant that since he had the Lord as his shepherd, he had no other want; he was lacking nothing. The significance of this statement can hardly be overemphasized. All through the ages Satan has attempted to portray God as a begrudging giver who only provides when He must. Satan desires to deceive those who trust in God, and wants them to believe they are lacking and deprived of the good things in life. This is the picture Satan tried to paint in suggesting that God had withheld the fruit of every tree of the garden from Adam and Eve (Matt. 4:1-11) and in the warning of Paul concerning the doctrine of demons (1 Tim. 4:1-4).

The mentality behind David’s words is completely opposed to propaganda where we are constantly being told that we have many needs, all of which can be met by buying some new (or old) product. We need “sex appeal” so we must buy a new toothpaste, a new kind of mouthwash and a new brand of soap. We need self-confidence and a better self-image, therefore we must wear stylish clothing determined by the garment industry. Our whole mode of thinking is “want-centered.” David tells us that to have God as our shepherd is indeed to have everything we want. He who is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-caring, is enough; He is sufficient. With Him we need nothing else.  Israel had found God to be a faithful provider of their needs during their years in the wilderness: “For the Lord your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wanderings through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have not lacked a thing” (Deut. 2:7). Beside,While a shepherd provides his sheep with food, rest, and restoration, God provides His sheep with His Word, which is the principle means of giving spiritual nourishment, rest, and restoration.

'The Lord Is My Shepherd'

March 23, 2012

Few people fail to appreciate the simplistic beauty and comfort contained in the Twenty-third Psalm. Many of you know it by heart. I feel somewhat like a tourist guide standing before you in the shadow of a magnificent mountain peak, attempting to describe its beauty—or like a guide in an art museum telling you of the magnificence of a priceless painting which has been universally regarded as a classic work for decades. Perhaps Bernhard Anderson has best expressed the value of the Twenty-third Psalm when he wrote,

No single psalm has expressed more powerfully man’s prayer of confidence ‘out of the depths’ to the God whose purpose alone gives meaning to the span of life, from womb to tomb.

While few of us understand the life of the shepherd in the ancient Near East, most have been able to grasp the message of comfort and assurance conveyed in the psalm. Especially in times of distress,-- such as the death of a loved one, we instinctively turn to the assuring words, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

The purpose of this message is to help us more clearly understand the imagery used to convey comfort and calm to the soul of those who are a part of God’s flock by faith in Jesus Christ. Additionally, we will explore new ways in which the truth of this psalm can be applied to our lives. Furthermore, since we are all to be shepherds of God’s flock in the broadest sense, we can learn a great deal not only about our Shepherd, but also about shepherding.

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land where you shall eat food without scarcity, in which you shall not lack anything; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. (Deut. 8:7-9). Thus you see we dont need anything , why cause god provide every thing we need Amen!

"Tribute to Mother"

Toast to mothers

To Mother -

Whose love keeps me going in in times that seem bad
And who's  taught me the  value of blessings I've had.

To Mother -

Who is wise and loving and,
in her own way,
Has made me the person
I am today.

"THE BUTTERFLY"

March 22, 2012

If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first
capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

As  a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal
the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all.

In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly freedom,
the Great Spirit will always grant the wish.
