|A celebration of life ! A beginning of a wonderful new journey ! Your spirit will be with us always !|
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Miro Lovric, 66, born on April 21, 1946 and passed away on January 30, 2013. We will remember him forever.
Please raise your glass. Miro and I would like you to join us in celebrating his life with a double shot of Grand Marnier –his favourite- or a beverage of your choice.
Miro passed away on January 30, 2013 at the Mississauga Trillium Hospital after an incredibly courageous and intense battle with cancer.
Throughout the two year journey we were so very lucky to be looked after by Doctor Micheal King at the Trillium Hospital and his wonderful R.N. Trish Cameron who went out of their way to help us try and conquer this terrible disease. When all conventional treatments had failed Dr Rajagopal and her R.N. Deborah Macdonald at the Credit Valley Hospital were so kind as to include Miro in a clinical trial that inspired Miro to fight on until the end.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to both medical teams who gave Miro hope and courage.
Miro lived his life as intense as he fought cancer.
He tapped into many interesting careers, traveled all over the world, enjoyed a good time and pursued many hobbies and interests. Miro was an extremely gifted artist and there was not a mechanical problem that Miro could not solve. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and his scientific mind helped him work through the battle with cancer.
Big hugs and a gigantic ‘Thank you’ to all our friends who have accompanied us through our journey, especially towards the end.
Miro’s spirit will always be with us and I’m sure he is having a fantastic time wherever he is - exploring, traveling and partying up a storm.
‘Cheers’, ‘Zivjeli’ and ‘Prost’
Let us celebrate Miro’s life!

"Mom and I are at the hotel in Mainz with a glass of Prosecco, toasting your life. We will never forget how you took a picture in the Gutenberg museum here - which was strictly prohibited of course - of the smallest bible in the world. And the big grin you had on your face after mission accomplished...
Cheers and Prost from Karin and Marion"
"I miss you Bro!"

"Raising my glass to toast your life, our laughter, the fun we've had, the wonderful travels and the good times.
"Remembering Miro on this date. I do think of the many memories over the years."
"Miro, I figured I'd come up and meet you half way in the skies today - just got back from London. :)
To think that a year has passed ... And I have yet to sort through half of your stuff :):)
Certainly a lot of great memories, especially when I look at the YTV memorabilia and pictures of our travels.
I found enough funky lighters to remember you by and light candles for the next 40 years.
And I realize I should get into the home renovation industry given the amount of tools :)
A little anecdote: Miro always used to run out garbage day to check what I was throwing out and half the 'garbage' would work its way back into the house, tucked away in secret places for later projects :):):) And there were many.....
Cheers, I will have a shot of your favourite beverage tonight, thinking of only and all the good times...
"I will always remember the years we spent together,(we were married in 1967).
We kept in touch , more so in the last years of his life. He was amazingly courageous in those final weeks.
I'm glad he was in my life, and I'm still sorry he's gone."
"Miro!! It was a great pleasure knowing you. We will miss you dearly. Will miss those sunny day hikes. Cheers! Raising a glass of Grand Marnier to you. Love always.

"Thank you Miro, for our young, married years together. I thank you too, for our son Adrian, I'm so glad you were at his wedding!
Although we parted ways, and continued on our separate journeys, we never really lost touch, and I'm glad for that. We will miss you."
I've been thinking about you these past days. I've enjoyed looking at the photos - especially of your boyhood, before I ever met you. I see you had a good, full life. You saw a lot of places and did a lot of things. Although I was sad when I heard you were gone, I am happy for you now. Rest in peace. Till we meet again."
"Miro you were a wonderful, caring, talented man and the world is a poorer place without you in it.
Sending strength, peace and love to his family."

It was so cold we all spent the day eating and drinking our way through town to stay warm. Lots of laughs and fun. We still smile when we remember.

"Great photos. You have been a saint taking care of Miro these past two years. We know he is in a better place now. Time for you to take of yourself."
"The last tribute was written by Joyce Nakanishi to my email. She asked me to post it here. Thank you so much Joyce for your lovely words.
"You had a passion for life, and a keen mind – always a great combination, and you used it to live a very interesting life! I really enjoyed listening to your stories, and I thank you for the great logic and wisdom that you generously shared with others. I'm sorry for your loss Marion, and I am sorry for our loss, as well. Miro, you will be missed."
"Even though I only meet Miro the one time, I know he was a good person judging by the love Marion showed for him. I saw his art work (the car) and the way Marion was so proud of it when driving around. Miro it was a pleasure meeting you. May good luck follow you into the next life."
"We will miss you Miro. We had some great times. You bought me my first phone, remember it was the size of a brick. You also were kind and thoughtful and I will always remember the enthusiasm you showed for life. I hoped you could hang on till we saw each other again but I know we will get together again some day. Cheers to you and your life."
"You taught me to always take pride in everything I put my effort into. You drove me crazy as your manager because you demanded perfection when I said "good enough". And then you blew me away with your skill and artistry. One of the few people you could truly trust their word. I could always rely on you. I will celebrate your life remembering the hours we spent together in the shop."
"You fought a good fight Miro, you will be missed!"
"Bon voyage Miro! I hope there are many delicious fresh tomatoes wherever you are!"
"It's been a rollercoaster ride...
A lot of great memories...
Many laughs and many tears..."
