Love Story

February 7, 2013

I was the producer of Fuzzpaws - the childrens show where Marion and Miro first met each other.  Watching their love blossom during the course of production was so much fun.  You would walk into the set prep area and catch them jumping apart, or look over to see them sharing a glance across the set.  You could tell that these two were destined for their own love story.

A couple of years after Fuzzpaws ended I went through a really rough patch in my life.  Miro called me about something else and we used the opportunity to catch up.  His words of wisdom at the time - without judgement or pity - really helped and I referred to them often over the subsequent years.

He was a lovely man.

A, "Gentle" man...........

February 5, 2013
Miro, you always made me feel like such a lady (as I am sure you made most women feel that way!) I will always remember you as a, "gentle" man with a twinkle in your eye and a smile that could melt a heart. You were the type of man that one could speak to an any subject. Whether the topic was regarding current events, history, art, culture or science, you always had interesting and knowledgeable facts to share. And when it came to a personal, more intimate conversation, your support and kindness warmed my heart like a big hug! Thank you for adding to the memories in my life...........I will miss you........xoxo

Reminiscing

February 5, 2013

Miro reached out to me about a year ago and in the last 6 months we spoke every week.  We reminisced about old friends and situations and he laughted so hard at times I thought he wouldn't catch his breath.  He reminded me of times we tobogganed at 2 a.m. on the hill on our front lawn and lately we would argue about who's dog was more special his or mine.  Miro will never be forgotten, how could you, he was a unique man.  I am glad I knew you, you will be missed

Meeting Miro

February 4, 2013
I met Miro what seems like a lifetime ago. Miro shopped in my little Pet Store on the Queensway. Miro often just came in to say hi and gab! He always had his fish tanks and many other pets as well. I bought a black Corvette from him and I still remember how he had altered some of the interior just because it made more sense. Miro was a brilliant man, hard working and very loyal. I miss him even though as the years passed we saw less and less of each other. When I sold my pet store he hired me to lease cars and he made feel like I was on top of the world. He gave me a cell phone, a new car every 3 months and we became good friends. Later I got married had kids and moved to Bolton, we lost contact for awhile. Recently we reconnected because of his illness and I was delighted to see he hadn't changed. Still, a wealth of knowledge, this time about his cancer. I will miss you Miro, thought you would always be around. See you again someday and we can talk about some of the things I missed.

Pool Shark

February 2, 2013

One of our first dates took us to a pool hall. I had no idea what I was in for.
I was feeling pretty confident that I was going to win the game since I had been taught by a professional pool player a few tricks.....
We had a bet going and a very close game. Didn't I sewer on the 8 ball and Miro had just won himself a trip to Paris :)
That smile on Miro's face stayed on for a very long time :) :)
Love, Marion
