His Life

A native of Phenix City, AL., and the son of the late Lillie Bell Evans, Mr. McCoy was a 1950 graduate of William H. Spencer High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a Transportation Specialist after over 30 years with the Dept. of Defense Motor Pool at Ft. Benning, GA. He was a member of Greater Beulah Baptist Church, the American Legion and the Modern's Civic and Social Club.

He is survived by a loving wife of 59 years, Mrs. Earlene Haynes McCoy; one daughter, Sharron McCoy Bohannon of Lithonia, GA., one son, Harold McCoy(Ophelia)of Columbus; two grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Truitt(Willie) and Camellia McCoy; a great grandchild, Chase Bohannon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
