Joe was married to Sonya Brown on February 12, 2005 for 9 ½ years. They had two sons, Jomarcus Brown and Adrian Delaney Lewis.
Joe attended Hogansville High School. He was a custodian for Troup County School System Special Project Team for fifteen years. However, most people knew him as a mechanic, and his love of fast cars. He was well-known by his nickname “Too Tall.”
Joe leaves to cherish his memory, wife Sonya Brown; two sons, Jomarcus and Adrian; mother, Virginia Sue Rosser (Walter Rosser); father, Franklin Bussey; mother-in-law, Charlie Mae Woods; sisters, Deborah Hall (Reginald), Pamela Rosser, Tomeka Ford, Shelly Ponder, Kimberly (Damon)Rosser, Genell (Quinton) Richardson; brothers, Tony (Sherri) Brown, Robin Brown (Felicia), Willie Frank Ponder, Chris Hussey, Willie Bussey; also cherising his memory is a host of nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends; special friends, Cedric (Catrena) Lowe, Kennedy (Maria) Harris, Eddie Bray, Donald Hinton and Tip Scott.
