Mr. Michael Carter, a resident of Valley, AL, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 in UAB Hospital, Birmingham, AL. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, June 25, 2012 at 12:00 noon (CST) from Mt. Zion AME Church, Opelika, AL with Pastor Carmen A. Walker, officiating.

Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. 

Public Viewing is scheduled for Sunday, June 24, 2012 beginning at 1:00 p.m. (EST) and will culminate with Family Hour from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 305 W. F. Burns Drive, Valley, AL.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Michael. I had worked with Michael since he was 16 years old. He was a wonderful person and has a wonderful family. All of you will be in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Michael at TOB. I always enjoyed working with him and seeing that beautiful smile. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.

Our family was so sorry to hear about Michael's passing. He was such a wonderful person and he had the brightest smile and he never seemed unhappy. Chad and I both worked with him at West Point Stevens. Chad said he helped him out so much. He will be greatly missed. We will keep your family in our prayers. Love yall and God Bless!

Sorry to hear of the passing of another VHS classmate. Michael was a genuinely nice guy. Whenever I ran into him over the years, he always had that infectious smile of his. Never heard him say an unkind word to or about anyone. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of one of my former classmates and friend, Mr. Michael Carter. From the time I met Michael in the 7th grade, until we graduated Valley High in 1976, he was always one of the nicest guys I had ever known. He always had a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with the Carter family! May God Bless You Always!

Ms.Carter,So sorry to hear about Micheal.I worked at WestPoint in Wagram,NC for over 30 Years in Product Development.As I was new to the department I would probably call Michael daily for Advise on developing new weaves.Did finely meet Micheal and what a GREAT guy.So many times he helped me,out never once complained.I am PROUND to call him a Friend.Will Keep U in my PRAYERS David

I am sorry to hear of your loss, Yolanda. Your husband was such a nice man with an easy smile for all. I hold those images in my mind and cry in my heart for his passing. Death is certainly our enemy.-1 Cor. 15:26. I know that you have a close knit family that will help you through this sad occasion.
