On the third day of April 2016, God called home another one of his precious children, Mr. Robert “Bet” Smith. Robert was born in the small community of Corinth, Georgia, where everyone was family. He was the son of Mr. Gilbert and Josie Mae Smith, which both preceded him in death. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Wadley Chapel United Methodist Church. He attended Ethel Kight School. As his life progressed and he grew into a young man, he met and fell in love and married Eloise Smith on November 15, 1968. They lived a life together for forty eight years. Robert was preceded in death by one son, Robert Smith, Jr.; two brothers, Bobby Joe Smith and Jerry Smith; and one sister, Ruth Broome.

He leaves life long memories with a devoted wife, Eloise Smith; his children, Rose Smith (John), Anthony Smith, Sergio Jackson And Adrian Smith; nine grandchildren, Pierre Davis, Anesha Smith, Latoya Smith, Jacob Jackson, Malik Jackson, Kaleb Jackson, Jada Jackson, Josiah Jackson and Treynia Jackson; two brothers, Charlie Smith and Thomas Smith (Eula); three sisters, Peggy Smith, Barbarn Smith and Jennie Lou Smith (Bufford); a host of nieces and nephews; three very close family friends, Ronelle Lowe, Sally Kate Colton and Sonya McDowell.
