Her Life

Linda J. McCullough Harper was born June 29. 1951 to the late Ruth Blackmon McCullough and Charlie Lee McCullough. She entered into eternal rest on May 27. 2013.

At an early age she united with Burrell Chapel A.M.E. Church where she was a faithful and dedicated member serving in different ministries, including stewardess board. missionary committee, pastor aide committee, and class leader.

She was a 1971 graduate of Beulah High School. Her hobbies included: shopping, discipline children as needed, cosmetology, spending time with her family, and a love for helping others which was a gift given to her from God.

She was employed with Winn-Dixie for 16 years and later she became a paraprofessional with Beulah Elementary School until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Rudene Sylvester; one brother, Charles McCullough.

Her survivors include:  her loving husband, George (Pop) Harper, Cusseta, AL; one devoted daughter, Masheika Harper, Cusseta, AL; two sisters, Yvonne (John) Ingram and Mary (Wayne) Collins both of Opelika, AL; four brothers, Jeffrey (Patricia) Walton, Carrollton, GA, Claude (Debra) Walton, Opelika, AL, Gary Walton, Cusseta, AL and B. Keith (Tamika) McCullough, Nashville, TN; eight sisters-in-law, Louise McCullough, Annie Lois Pollard, Virginia (Willie) Stevens, Mae Frances Harper, Mary (Jerry) Phillips, Ruby Dean Roberto, Brenda Harper and Sherrie Potts; four brothers-in-law, John Lee Harper, Jessie Harper, Kenneth Harper and Larry (Norma) Harper; three aunts; two uncles; special caregivers, Shellie McCullough-Spears, cousin and Shawanda Freeman, niece; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
