Mary “Mae Thaniel” Pearson Brown was born to the parentage of the late Thomas and Izora Spence Pearson on March 14, 1942 in Roanoke, Alabama. She confessed Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. After relocating to Valley, Alabama, she joined Community Baptist Church and served as a devoted member until her health failed.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late John L. Brown on January 18, 1965. Mary Pearson Brown departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in EAMC Lanier Nursing Home, Valley, Alabama.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Mae Renia Pearson, Atlanta, GA, Rachel Brown Hargett and John (Cassandra) Brown both of Valley, AL; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchkldren; five sisters, Doris Trammell, Julie Cofield and Annie P. Trammell all of Roanoke, AL, Rudene (George) McCants, Valley, AL and Helen (Joseph) Johnson, Hampton, GA; a special sister-in-law, Helen Brown, Valley, AL; sisters-in-law, Julia Brown Davis, Mary (George) Giscombe and Alice Huguley all of Hartford, CT; brother-in-law, Roy Brown, Valley, AL; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
