Her Life
July 4, 2015

“Life and death are a part of the same great adventure. Do not fear to die and do not shrink from the joy of life.”

Ollie Mae Addie Hines began her journey of life on July 12, 1937 in Lone Oak, Georgia – the firstborn child to the late Calvin and Mildred Addie.

Ollie Mae lived her life to the fullest; she always demonstrated much love, fun and laughter in every aspect of her personal life especially at family gatherings. For many years, she performed domestic services (housekeeping) for numerous households throughout the surrounding counties. Even in her daily tasks of cleaning, cooking and caring for others which she considered her greatest passions, she continued to share her humor and laughter as she performed her daily duties. She performed these services until her health began to decline.

Ollie Mae was united in holy matrimony to the late Norman Hines 1968.

Ollie Mae attended the Meriwether County School System. Early in life, she joined Zion Hill Baptist Church and remained an active and faithful member until her health would no longer allow her to be in attendance.

Ollie Mae departed this life on Friday, July 3, 2015 at LaGrange Hospice.
Ollie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Mildred Addie, husband, Norman Hines, one daughter, Larue Addie Dean, one son, Curtis Addie, three brothers, Marvin, Charlie Robert and Charlie Milton.

Ollie Mae leaves to cherish her precious memories two daughters, Gwendolyn (Kennis) Colton and Evelyn Addie (Dale Hart); one son, William (Gaynelle) Martin, three sisters, Virginia, Mabel and Katie Addie; one brother, Henry Addie, special son-in-law, Johnny Dean, 2 step children, 15 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
