Her Life

Betty Jean Bray was born November 6, 1939 in Troup County to the late James H. and Lucy Lee Cameron, and was the eldest of three children born to this union. Betty accepted Christ at an early age and has been a member of Louise United Methodist Church all of her life. She served faithfully until her health no longer allowed her to continue.

Betty was a member of the Friendly Social Club and Seven Wonders Gospel Group for many years.

Betty was united in matrimony to the late Ossie Bray Jr. and to this union two children were born: Ossie B. Cameron and Gloria Nell Harris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ossie Bray Jr. Mother, Lucy Lee Cameron. Father, James H. Cameron. Siblings Ernest L. Cameron and Lucy Jane Cameron.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories: Son, Ossie B Cameron (Brenda) of
LaGrange, GA; Daughter, Gloria Nell Harris (Walter) of Hogansville,
GA; God son, Charles Edward Cameron (Angela); seven
Grandchildren: RaShawn Thrash (Tanesha), Trevis Blalock, Jabreaka
Bray, Omar Cameron (Tomika), Ofvenesia Cameron (Stan), Montae
Barfield, Keyerria Mathewis (Markevis); eleven Great Grandchildren;
one Great-Great Grandchild; five nieces that she helped raise: Latonya
Woods (Andrea), Ernestine Cameron, Rekida Jenkins (Michael),
Tamekia Cameron, and Lisa Cameron; Uncle, Richard Cameron of
Atlanta, GA; Aunt, Dorothy Cousins of Hogansville, GA; three
Brothers-in-law: Willie Milton Bray (Flora) of Flint, MI, Willie Ester
Bray (Christine) of LaGrange, GA, J.C. Bray (Etrulia) of LaGrange,
GA; three Sisters-in-law: Nellie Jennings (David) of Whitesville, GA,
Mable Bray of LaGrange, GA and Martha Bray of Atlanta, GA;
Caregivers: Susie Seaborn and Winifred Mitchell; Special family friend,
Terrell Poythress; Several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
