Miss you Mom. Today and everyday.
Growing up as wee ones on Lomita, it was like we had a Minion of Mamas watching over all of us ~ I'm pretty sure I thought Nancy and Kay were the same person, much of the time - as when Kay was not running herd of all of us, she'd assign Nancy or Sherry & Kelly to see to all of us rug-rats, surely getting into mischief ~ I always felt the love and safety of family with the Dalys, in their home and in our AWESOME neighborhood ~ Our Chosen Neighborhood Family was the BEST. Nancy was a fundamental, developmental touchstone of grace, humor, love and laughter. Looking at the pictures, I can hear the Daly female contagious laughter in my heart ~ Although, it's been years, the love you planted in my soul Sister/Mama Nancy is a part of the very fabric of my being. I am comforted that you were not in pain, were surrounded by family and were surely welcomed into the Loving Arms of G-d with the assistance of Mama Kay & Jo Mama helping guide you Home to Peace Eternal! May the LOVE, GRACE, COMFORT, PEACE & STRENGTH of our LIVING, LOVING CREATOR, secure you and the whole family in this time ~ G-d is counting every tear and will bless the laughter & joy as you discover it, as this is what she would want for each of you! Our love, constant prayer and loving thoughts are with you all ~ Luv & Hugs ~ Suzie (Cole) Wages, Cliff, Sherry, Shannon and Family ~
Story by Susan Laliberte added on : 09/13/2014
I met Nancy through a mutual friend, Lori Beck. The few but cherished encounters we had were always memorable and filled with giddy, unchecked laughter, especially initiated by Nancy. I am so grateful for my last adventure with her and Lori to Pasadena where we watched the Rose Bowl Parade from atop a parking garage and then at street level. We found an excellent hole-in the-wall Thai restaurant and had a scary but hilarious adventure in a "foot massage" dungeon where Nancy was teaching some non-english speaking Asians how to sing Happy Birthday and the ABC song. Our trip ended short of Lori's house where both Nancy and I had to exit the car because we were going to pee our pants from laughing. If I remember, our trip started the same way with Nancy laughing so hard on New Year's eve that she had to change her clothes. These memories I will hold on to and love forever. Nancy has touched my heart like no other person has in a long time! I love you Nancy and I will look for signs of you in my spirit.

Little Sister
Nancy and I were 2 years apart, we walked to school together in Northlake ,Ill ( Chicago area) I remember picking up worms from puddles to scare her and even though she would scream she wasn't afraid she was just having fun in the moment. You see Nancy knew how to have fun and live life to its fullest, it was a gift along with all her other gifts. A truck driver at my workplace mentioned how when she was at a fast food restaurant and started talking to the person just sweeping the floor it was as though she had known them for years. Nancy truly cared about people and her life was an example of how we all should live to bring love and joy into the world. Nancy stories will come to us all in the months and years to come, but the good news for me is that along with her I share a faith in Jesus and plan to sometime in the future meet up with her again and enjoy that larger than life personality. One thing I do know is that she won't be sitting on a boring cloud playing a harp!
