Dear Nengi aka SENATOR,
Gosh you will be greatly missed.
You crossed my mind yesterday and I tried to reach you apparently you were gone.
Its hard to believe that you wont be here when we relieve CUCU memories, celebrate birthdays and other milestones.
Or that you wont call me on my birthday.
Or you organize outings for the group as you have done in the past.
The back and forth we all had when planning the last meet up at Bogobiri J
Your impromptu visits, phone pranks and so on.
You really didn’t like taking pictures during our days at Communion Unit
You were always beside the DJ, hiding out with Elor.
Shy friend J
There is nothing that I wont miss about you
Is it your fun and jovial mein
Your big and caring heart
Not showing your worries at all
Or the ways we poke fun at each other
Memories of you always keeping in touch
Or us teasing you about the political situation in 9ja, as per you were for Jonathan
Or your calls, messages to share your different business ideas and wanting my input.
I still remember our last conversation on that oil ish, what I found out and so on.
The ice cream that you have owed me since 200 or 300level in school
Or the call on your 30th birthday when I asked, when you were going shopping
Or my asking that you keep off the weight you have lost.
Or my setting reminders and calling people to ensure we didn’t miss your birthday because you’d do the same for us all.
Grateful I got to speak with you on your birthday (won’t had forgiven myself)
Sad we wont do all we planned to do after this illness that took you
You were supposed to come back after shopping in August
We were all to go out, have thanksgiving
You kickstarting your new business adventure.
I remember always saying that when I grow up I’d be like you.
Your very easy and calm way about life.
I’d miss you Nengi
Hope to see you again at Jesus’s feet
Rest on dear friend
God know why He had to take you home to rest
