Dad kept a garden of the heart; he planted all the right things that gave our lives there start. He encouraged us to dream: fostering and nurturing our self esteem. He protected us, but not too much because he knew we would stand up, strong and tough. His constant good example, always taught us right from wrong that will last a lifetime long. We are his garden and his legacy. WE LOVE YOU!

Nick

May 9, 2012

Nick was a very good friend to all in SCV.  He enjoyed talking about new and different ways of doing things in the park.  He loved working on his cross stitch and his carving of fish out of wood.  He and Rosie loved to eat at Big Al's and the Silver Spoon.  A meal never went by without his saying, "Drink up your ice tea, Rose."  Nick loved his family and considered many of his friends as family.  He enjoyed John Christensen and Barbara Johnson as his neighbors who helped both he and Rosie through their last months at SCV.  His writing the history of SCV was a labor of love...........plants, cross stitch, family, and SCV........all were loved and enjoyed by Nick.
