 Norman J. Mendlik, 88, of Omaha, formerly of Dodge, died, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Brookstone Village in Omaha. 

Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Elkhorn.  Graveside services with military honors 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery, rural Dodge, Nebraska with family receiving friends at the Dodge Veterans Building following the graveside.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil service Tuesday both at St. Patrick's Church of Elkhorn.  Memorials may be made to the Dodge Veterans Memorial at Dodge, Nebraska or the Archdiocese of Omaha Education Foundation.  Stokely Funeral Home of West Point and Dodge are handling the arrangements.

"We are so sorry for your loss.Few months ago we were hope that Norman will be live longer  and maybe some day our daughter meet you and Your family (meet Norman ). Now we know that it wont be possible because You are gone.But we know that Patty and Paul told Norman about his family in Poland and we are happy with that.Thank you Mendlik s family for that.
