I wrote this poem in memory of Eric. I usually wouldn't put myself out there like this, but I want to share my deepest thoughts and feelings with all of you. I hope some of you can relate or maybe find some comfort within my words: "The honor you believed in. The loyalty you stood by. Your contagious laugh. Your sunlit smile. The tenderness of your heart. Your sense of humor. Your magnetic soul. The warmth within your embrace. The dreams we shared. Your trusting encouragement. The endless hope and faith you gave me. Our shared secrets. Our respected love for one another. Our friendship we had. You were sadly taken away. I still shed tears for you. A part of me is gone. The star I look up upon to know you are near. Within my silenced breath I hear your voice. In the stillness of a breeze I feel you. In my sleep I dream to talk to you. Regardless of your missing presence, You still protect me. You are my Angel. Eric, My beloved friend, How I miss you so."
