Mummy Eko, truly if there is anyone so accommodating more than you, you will still remain the first and the best host ever in my life.
You literally make everything look simple and elegant and comfortable. With you nothing seems impossible to accomplish. The discipline and the preparation and the life you put into everything can't be forgotten. Mummy Yorkie ...no words can explain the good touch of life you left on us. You are like an exposure of light in the breaking of dawn. Wish you are still around on your 65th and more...

Hey momma, you would have been 65 today if you were still here with us. I miss you so much. They say the pain can never go away but I have turned mine to joy and gratitude for a life well spent and knowing fully well that you are balling wherever you are now. Please, whatever you do, don't come back to Nigeria o. Ilu o ti to and you don't deserve to be experiencing what is happening right now. I misssssssss you sha. Plenty gist. Many things have happened since you left...... good and bad, but we have continued to live through it all. And yes, we are winning, just like you predicted before you left. Superwoman, supermom. Continue to rest in peace and love mama and enjoy your (earth) birthday. Muah.

Words can't express how much I miss you mama. But your memories linger on. here is one of them:
I just love her smile. So beautiful and will never forget going for Yokee's 10th birthday and the fun and party, we virtually counted every plane that flew over your house that night. I remember the beautiful baloons with different shapes at the party. At Yokee's engagement and wedding you were so beautiful, looking radiant and all smiles, the joy on your face lit the whole atmosphere. You taught us how to love and bond as a family. What a memory! Love you so much. You will never be forgotten. Sleep on mama till we all meet again at the Lord's feet. Your son Olugbenga.

Everyday I still think this was all a test to see how we would cope without you and that one day, you would walk up on my porch and we would laugh and cry over it......... Pipe dreams right? 3 years without you for counsel and support have been quite tough and unpredictable, but the video calls you give me in my sleep is not a bad idea too. I miss you mama. You would have been 63 today with another grandson to nurture and impart but God knows why He took you away before their (the grandkids) arrival. We love you and you will be forever missed, that's fo sho. Your baby Yokee.

The last days with you are still lingering in my heart...
"Banjo, are you people OK?" (at the Hotel room, on Yokkie's wedding),
"Mo fe fi iyara yen fun awon mama", "I think this room is OK"...
I really cannot forget that day. The day mom sent Pelumi and myself to your place and Seun brought the wine and you told him not to give us after saying "Seun! ma fun won loti, awon omo mi o kin mu oti o". You handed us an envelope to give to mum and also gave us our own "share" when we were about leaving...
"Big Mummy Lagos" (as I fondly call you), you were the best and way too generous that even outsiders felt they were always at home with you...
Continue to gbadura fun wa. Please Pray for US! I LOVE You as you were, even in death... Adieu Mama!

Celebrating Big Mummy at 63

July 5, 2018

Mummy Yoki or Big Mummy, we all truly miss you. My fondest memories are those school vacation days in Lagos, you were a breath of fresh air, always letting us have our way except when we are in church. I still remember how you would give us a look in those cute glasses and then smile afterwards. I love your warm hugs and your fashionable petite self.

I was super excited when I saw you at Yokee’s wedding party. I still remember how I ran to give you a hug and was trying to get you to dance with me. You lived a good life Big Mummy and your boys are doing great things. PS. You have 3 grandkids now like I said your boys are doing well
