Live on brother

May 21, 2014

In our hearts you’ll be ‘Forever Young’.
In our hearts you shall depart no more.
In our heart your laughter reverberates and echoes.
In our heart your resilience lives on.
In our hearts you’ll smile on.
In our hearts your flame is unquenchable.

You lived life like a star,
Showed love to all you came across,
You illuminated our world,
Now that you’re gone,
We welcome you into our hearts,
Where you’ll continuously shine.

Rest in the Bosom of God who created you for a special purpose.

We found a brother and friend in you.

Adieu.

Osamwonyi Olukole Asemota “O.C” was born in Lagos, Nigeria on August 2nd, 1986 to late Godfrey .I. Asemota and Abodunde Asemota (Nee Ayodeji).

He attended Fountain Nursery & Primary school, Surulere in Lagos where he was a boys scout member. He enjoyed participating in school plays and assembly bible readings. He then proceeded on to Parker International High School, Akure for his secondary education where he became the house captain in his final year.

O.C completed his A-level studies at Oxbridge College Ikeja, Lagos in 2004. That same year, O.C continued his academic journey at the University of Ghana, Legon and obtained a BSc degree in Biological Sciences before starting his Medical School studies at the same university on the Korlebu campus. He was a final student at the time of his untimely passage during an elective program at the University of Calabar in Nigeria.

O.C was an easy going, loving, caring and compassionate young man who made friends easily. He was a keen sports enthusiast and had a vast knowledge for most major soccer teams around the world even though he was a Chelsea fan. O.C also loved all things regarding computers and electronics especially video games. He enjoyed assisting family and friends in resolving technical problems. He loved to ‘dance’ or shall we say move to music and sing. He loved making everyone around him laugh.

He was a devoted Christian who loved God and had a deep faith in Him. We are rest assured that he is resting in the bosom of the Lord.

O.C will be missed by a host of friends and family members. He is survived by his loving mother, sister, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Adieu Osa!
