"Sarah was more than just my cousin. She was one of those people you hear about in books or movies, and you know they're amazing people, doing amazing things. Of course I met Sarah personally, and I'll never forget the condo she let us stay in on our trip to Branson and the time she let me play with her old Lincoln Logs, but I didn't have to know Sarah personally to know how great she was. Her dad, Seif, would always tell us about the new adventure she was on, and most importantly, how proud he is of her. We're all so proud of her. And that's what's important. That's what's great. Her memory will always be a good one. She will surely be missed, but never forgotten. Love you Sarah."
"I wrote this poem for Sarah and her parents. Everytime that I've come in contact with Sarah, she's always brought a smile to my face. Her energy, love, light, and laughter was infectious. She was loved by so many, and that is apparent here. Sarah, you were truly such an inspiring and talented young woman. My thoughts and prayers are with you always <3.
A life, a breath, a cry, and new flame,
brought into this earth knowing such little pain,
She,with the face of an angelic porcelain doll
joyous tears from her parent's eyes did fall.
Years passing seemed to leap and fly,
she grew into a beautiful woman as time went by.
The pride of her parents, around her they twirled,
acquired gold wings and traveled around the world.
A daughter, a sister, a cousin, a friend
to anyone in need, a shoulder she'd lend.
A kind and bright soul cherished by all,
an unexpected tragedy soon did befall.
A senseless act with no absolute gain,
brings the girl's family such incredible pain,
Her parent's tears, wiped away with cloth and shawl,
as their daughter is laid to rest, a beautiful porcelain doll.
With a new set of wings, her pure soul takes flight
Like a graceful white dove lighting up the dark night.
The pride and joy of her parents still,
Sarah's memory lives on, and it always will.
- Your loving cousin evermore, Nadia"
"I'll miss you Sarah. I wish I had a chance to know you more.
Dear Kathy and Seif, I wish there was anything I could do to reduce your pain. But I know she is in a better place, watching over you and wanting you to be happy and live in peace."
"My dearest nephew Sarah. Your loss is unbelievably saddening. I always remember you when you used to visit me in Egypt when you were beautiful little girl. God help your parents and give them all the patience and strength.
Your loving aunt Marwa Alshaer"
"My condolences to Sarah's family. I am truly sorry for your loss.

"My dear Friend I met you for a short period of time but you always made me feel comfortable. I still can believe what has happened but I will forever remember you. You were so warm, happy and strong girl!! I picked you up from the airport and that was the last day I saw you, but you left something for me a Pin that I will cherish forever!!! Jose and I truly will miss you!!"
"To the Family and Friends of Sarah,
Please except my deepest condolences. Although I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Sarah, I know that you will remember Sarah forever. Sarah is also in the memory of God. "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life" (John 5:28,29) I hope that you'll find comfort in knowing that you can see your loved one again during a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)"
"Beautiful Sarah, there will never be another like you. Beautiful smile, heart and soul. I love you and cannot imagine life without being able to talk and visit. Such a sad time for all of that are missing you and forever will."
"I lost my beautiful cousin Sarah. It's a tragic loss and the pain of Sarah's loss is overwhelming. I find myself wishing that it wasn't real. I can still see her trying to break a big piece of wood in her karate training. I can see her sitting beside me watching me dissecting a shrimp for my biology class. I can see her dancing with joy and laughter. I can see her beautiful smiling face with her shining eyes and this what will always last in my memory. I'll miss you Sarah, but you'll always be in my heart!"
"Those we love who pass away live on in us through our memories and character. Sarah was a beautiful person with a great spirit. We will always remember you Sarah."
