Her Life

Pamela Sims Rodgers

September 5, 2013

Pamela (Pam to her family and friends) passed away on September 3, 2013 in Gilbert, Arizona following a lengthy illness. Pam was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 3 1952, the eldest child of Hughland and Helen Sims. The family also included Andrea (Breaux), Robyn (Hood), and David Sims, who passed away in 2010.

Pam's early years were spent in Pasadena and Altadena, where she attended Sacred Heart Elementary and Elliott Junior High School. In 1970, she graduated from John Muir High School. Following an early marriage to Tony Rodgers, Pam attended a local nursing program, and spent many years working in healthcare. During that time Pam began her family with the birth of Chasen, followed by Christian, and Ian.

Pam played guitar, loved riding horses, and was a beautiful and creative writer. Truly the great love of her life was her family. In addition to her mother, sisters and sons, she leaves behind to celebrate her life and to mourn her passing her grandchildren Marlie, Mekena, Gavin, Corinne and Kendall.
