I met Pasquale during one of my many trips to Manhattan. I was staying down the street and wandered into DaMarino's. I was greeted by Pasquale. I will never forget that first encounter. I felt a connection with him like I had rarely ever experienced. I had found my home away from home. Every trip from that point forward had new meaning because I knew I would get to spend time talking with my friend Pasquale. We spent hours talking about business, litigation issues he was dealing with, employees, life in general, his wife and little boy and so much more. Our relationship hit a all new level of respect when during one of my visits the restaurant was closed for a private party. Pasquale invited me even though I didn't know a soul. He made me feel right at home. As was typical for DaMarinos the place was packed with celebrities. I couldn't help but notice Pasquale was upset. After observing for over an hour I realized no one was paying for anything. The host felt he was entitled and refused to pay. Pasquale was such a gracious man he was apparently prepared to absorb the loss. I wouldn't have any part of my friend being hurt so I handed him my American Express Card and told him to put $4,500. To me it was a small gesture of my appreciation for all of the time we spent together and for his friendship. Pasquale almost broke down in tears. He and I continued to grow closer after that night and as always I looked forward to every visit so my friend and I could spend time together. I have missed him so much and he will be remembered until we are reunited one day. I'm so privileged to have earned this mans friendship. May God Bless his soul, his memory and his family with many blessings. I loved him so much!
