She was born in Chicago, Illinois to William and Violet Blankenship Sunday, May 1, 1949. She attended school at Valley High and graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 67. She furthered her education at Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Astronomical Physics. She obtained her Master's Degree in Physics at the University of Maryland.  

Her career took her to all areas of the United States working on Defense Projects for the U. S. government as well as programming air control systems at major airports as well as many others. She was a devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lanett, Alabama, where she was a member of The Ladies Sodality and served as a lector, as well as serving on many special projects. She was a devoted pet owner and cat lover. Leaving behind her furry cat friends; Ida, Biscuit, and Keitzel. 

Pat was preceded in death by her father and mother, William Deward and Violet V Blankenship, her brother John William Blankenship, and her sister Pamela Ann Blankenship.  She is survived by her sister, Toni Blankenship Embrey; her nieces Kim (Alan) Powers and Angela Glover; her great niece, Lauren Glover; her great nephew, Cody Glover; her great great niece, Tensely Glover and her special friends, Pam Coucous and Karen Levitt.
