You must have been a very special lady to raise my dear friend, your daughter. May God's love surround you, and bring peace to you and to those you left behind.

"Did you ever know that you're my hero...
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle...
You are the wind beneath my wings.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed.
But I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.
Did you every know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle...
You are the wind beneath my wings.
   Fly, fly, fly away...
You let me fly so high.
   Oh you, you, you...
   The wind beneath my wings.
I fly against the sky...so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you...
Thank God for you...
The wind beneath my wings."

I loved my grandmother. Mimi to me and all her other grandchildren. We all loved her dearly. How could anyone not? She was the warmest person I've ever met. She was the very model of Southern charm and hospitality. And she taught me how to laugh. And oh how we laughed.

I could list a thousand memories of her, but I wouldn't do them justice. She was just warmth and laughter and joy and love. And the world is a better place for having had her in it. And my world is a little colder without her.

But she taught me that when the world is cold, that is when you sing a song and crack a joke and have a drink and MAKE it warmer. So, Mimi, here's to you. I'm going to sing a song to my daughter and tell her all about how wonderful you were, so that she can carry your warmth into the world. I love you so much. So long until we meet again.

Even though we had never met, I know what a special lady you must have been because of the incredible daughter you raised. I know you are an angel in Heaven looking down and smiling on the wonderful children and grandchildren who love you so much. God Bless.

While we never had the pleasure of meeting Patricia, we have been blessed by friendship with the beautiful daughter she raised. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Lori and Bill Bonnington
