Her Life

My Mother

March 14, 2014

My Mother was an amazing woman. She married at the age of 16. She had eight children, 18 grandchildren,30 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was there for all her children and grandchildren when ever they needed her. She took care of her husband when he was fighting cancer, and was by his side when he died. She was by her daughter Valerie's side when she died, and again was with her son Micheal when he was battling cancer and then died. There wasn't anything that she wouldn't do for you. She lived through it all, whether it was on a personal level, or going through it with someone she loved. She gave lots of memories for us to hold near and dear to our hearts. She made Christmas a very special occassion that no one who experienced one would forget. She taugh me how to cook, clean, be strong, and fight for what I believed in. In her last year, as I was battling cancer, she tried her hardest to be there for me, even though she was fighting a battle to get better herself.  She loved her life and lived it to the fullest. I remember the little things like her favorite foods, her way of making you know it would be okay. He faith in the Lord and how she would always say to me, When it is to much, then put it in the Lords hands and let him take car eof it for you. I never thought she would ever leave us. It was like she was invisiable. It is so very different now, not only for me, but for many others. She will live forever, because she touched many people with her kindness, love, and compassion.
