Hi Mom, it's your birthday today and I wish you were here to celebrate it. Jimmy and I were talking about you the other day (we talk about you often) and I could see that he misses you so much. He tells me stories of growing up and how you didn't drive so you, John and Jimmy would either take the bus, walk or a combination of the two, to go to the store and other places, will his dad was at work. It always makes me smile when he talks about walking and carrying those brown paper bags, full of groceries, back home. I tell him that was a character building exercise that you were teaching to both boys. Yes, your son loves you a lot and I like hearing his memories of you. We are going to be moving to Oregon within a year, to Portland. All my family lives in the Pacific Northwest, except my Dad and one brother, and my daughter and grandson live in Seattle. I want to live closer to my family and Jimmy agreed we should move as he wants us to know our grandson - he really wants to teach him how to fish❤️ So Happy Birthday Mom Sharlene, I miss you too very much.

I will miss you dearly Sharlene. You became a second Mom to me and always made me feel like part of your family not just a daughter-in-law. Your time with us was much too short.

Mt husband, James Davis, told me that his Mom, (Sharlene) and Dad (Boyd) first got married at Knotts Berry Farm Amusement Park. The Justice of the Peace in the Old West section of the park married them and her ring was a bent horseshoe nail, lol. Sharlene actually showed me that nail ring this past December.
