It always amazes me that I continue to learn new things about you after all these years. Guess you never really know everything about someone. Until we meet
Another of Paul's Poems
broken heart
i CAN SURViVE ANY PAiN THAT'S REAL,
BUT A BROKEN HEART iS WHAT i FEEL.
my HEART KEEPS ACHiNG BOTH DAY AND NiGHT,
DOCTORS TELL me EVERYTHiNG'S ALRiGHT.
THE SLEEPLESS NiGHT, STRETCHES iNTO THE DAY,
my FEEBLE MiND CANNOT PUSH YOU AWAY.
REPLAYiNG my WORDS AGAiN AND AGAiN,
LONGiNG FOR YOU iS THE EiGHTH DEADLiEST SiN.
OH WHAT SORROWS BARES THiS MAN,
YOU iNFLICT THE PAiN, BUT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.
ETERNAL HEARTACHE, EXTERNAL PAiN,
TO COMPARE THEM BOTH, THEY'RE BOTH THE SAME.
iT HURTS WHEN YOU'RE AWAY, HURTS WHEN YOU'RE NEAR,
BUT iT HURTS MOST OF ALL, KNOWiNG YOU'LL NEVER BE THERE.
the days go by, the feelIngs subsIde,
and the heartache I felt, fades away InsIde.
a new love I wIll fInd, to do her own part.
but stIll I'll keep for YOU,
' my aching broken heart. '

A song Paul wrote for a Special Friend
A SONG FOR JENNIFER
You blow my mind, all I think of is you.
You blow my mind, there's nothing I can do.
You blow my mind, oh Jennie can't you see.
You blow my mind, I can't break free.
I look in your eyes, cause I cannot resist.
I look at you move, oh how you wiggle those hips.
I look at your hair, its straight as a whip.
I look at you smile, with those big red lips.
The planet goes round, every single day.
We are just two people, in this goddam play.
Like Romeo, said he loved Juliett.
I can give you my love, but will you accept.
chorus: I want you now, to be my girl.
I want you now, more than the whole world.
Oh I want you now, Jennie can't you see.
I want your love, please give it to me.
I vowed I would love you, that's what I did say.
But you're with him, are you really happy.
So happy you seem, I can't claim the same.
Cause without your love, I'll definetely go insane.
Going insane, yeah it might be alright.
At least, I won't have to lay awake alnight.
Layin awake, just thinking of you.
If we were together, what we could do.
I'm so screwed up, I don't know what to do.
I'm after trying everything, I can't get through to you.
For when I talk, my conversation lacks.
Its one step forward, its two steps back.
chorus: I want you now, to be my girl.
I want you now, more than the whole world.
Oh I want you now, Jennie can't you see.
I want your love, please give it to me.
You blow my mind, all I think of is you.
You blow my mind, theres nothing I can do.
You're so damm hot, you think you're in the zone.
But you're in my mind, and I'm still all alone.
For when I'm with you, your heart turns to ice.
Your words cut through me, like a double-edged knife.
A DOUBLE-EDGED KNIFE..................
I try so hard, to keep my thoughts straight.
I should of asked you out, but now its to late.
You say its friends, its friends we'll have to be.
But I really do love you, Jennie can't you see.
I REALLY DO LOVE YOU, JENNIE CAN'T YOU SEE.
I REALLY DO LOVE YOU, JENNIE CAN'T YOU SEE.
I REALLY DO LOVE YOU....DO YOU LOVE ME.

One of our favorite Poems
EVEN THOUGH YOU CANT SEE ME, EVEN THOUGH
WE’RE SO FAR APART
JUST KNOW THAT I’LL ALWAYS BE THERE INSIDE
YOUR HEART
IF YOU’RE SAD BECAUSE I’M GONE, JUST SMILE
BECAUSE I’LL BE OKAY
BECAUSE THERE WOULDN’T BE TRIALS OR
OBSTACLES STANDING ON MY WAY.
IF YOU START TO MISS ME JUST SMILE AND LOOK
UP UNTO THE SKY
AND THINK OF ME AS AN ANGEL WITH TWO
FEATHERED WINGS FLYING BY
IF YOU’RE SCARED DON’T WORRY, I’M STANDING
BY YOU.
I’M HERE FOR COMFORT AND I’M HERE UNTIL YOU
DREAMS COME TRUE
I NEVER WANTED TO LEAVE YOU BECAUSE YOU’LL
BE SAD
BUT THINK ABOUT ALL THE GOOD MEMORIES
THAT WE HAVE HAD
EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN’T SEE ME I’M ALWAYS
WITH YOU
I’LL ALWAYS BE BY YOUR SIDE UNTIL THE END OF
TIME IS THROUGH
I DON’T KNOW WHY I LEFT SO EARLY
I LEFT ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO MEANT SO MUCH
TO ME.
BUT I KNOW THAT SOMEDAY WE’LL BE TOGETHER
FOR ETERNTY.
I’LL BE THE ONE WHO KEEPS YOU DRY WHILE YOU
STAND UNDER THE RAIN I’LL BE YOU ANGEL
KEEPING YOU AWAY FROM ANY HARM OR ANY
PAIN.
JUST KNOW THAT I’LL ALWAYS REMEMBER
EVERYTHING THAT WE USED TO DO
AND NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS…JUST
REMEMBER THAT I’LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU….
Paul's poetry that he wrote
Friends
' F ' stands for friendship, and I can definetly say,"no matter where you go, on any given day. I will know you and you will know me, together we are friends, Paul and Melanie".
' R ' stands for reality. The reality that we faced, but we were brought together by the dream that we chased. The dream to be a nurse, we caught it in the end. As for reality goes, we part as lifelong friends.
' I ' stands for incredible, and thats what you are. To those that really know you, you're their bright shinning star. Like a heavenly angel when those dark days turned black, always there to lend a hand never to turn your back. " thankyou "
' E ' stands for emotions, the ones that we have shared. Through the shouts of laughter and many of our tears. We were there during those times helping one another. At times, you were looking out for me, like a sister does for her brother.
' N ' stands for noble, and noble friend you have been, to listen to my stories time and time again. I will never forget the words that you have said, for they are engraved in my heart not within my head.
' D ' stands for dependable, which you have always been. At times to be a counsellor, most times to be a friend. You were always willing to give, straight from your heart. Although we are now separated, we will never be apart.
' S ' stands for sister, a sister that I love. When I pray at night, I ask God above. " God please keep her safe, wherever she may go, because that's my sister Melanie, I do love her so ".

Why I Love the Weather
Why I Love the weather, this I will explain,
I Love the snow, sun, wind and even the pouring rain.
It reminds me of my MOM, who I love with all my heart,
The weather keeps me company when we are apart.
When I feel the rain drops, dance lively upon my head,
I think about the pain she knows, and every tear she shed.
There been times I caused those tears, but she has never cursed me yet.
Maybe she know it okay to cry, for even the Savior wept.
I watch the soft white snow, float down from the sky above,
Each flake individual, like Mom's undying love.
The snow brings me tremendous joy, but melts after its season
A Mothers Love will always be there no matter the time or reason.
The wind orchestrates a melody, as the autumn leaves swirl through the air,
At times I hear her whispered words, I know her soul is near.
Guiding me like the mighty wind, trapped in the captain's sails,
In tough times I count on MOM, for her love will always prevail.
I feel the Sun's warn gentle touch, like the hand of the one I call Mother,
As I walk the path of life, I know there will be no other.
No other person on this earth, that can give their self to me,
The way that my Mother does so unconditionally.
My Mother is so dear to me, and this I'll always know.
For she travels with me , where I may go.
Throughout the forbidden places, in this cruel and lonely land.
The rain, snow, wind, and sun will comfort her precious man.
Love you MOM

Paula & Paul
This Lady is amazing, Paul Loved her, he always called her his earthly angel. Paula Fifield was his instructor at the nursing Centre. She put up with his wit & humour.
And i am sure he gave her some trying times throughout the 3 years of nursing. He was special and Paula could see this .
She has been an angel to us for the past 17 years and i don't know if i could have coped without her.
Paula your are an angel on earth. Thank you so much for being an outlet for my frustration and heart ache.
You treated Paul like one of your sons. Thank You Kind Lady
