Her Life
February 4, 2016

Mrs. Hamrick was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Annie Chosewood Shedd, and James O. Shedd. She was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church. Her whole life revolved around two things, her God and her family. God being first, she spent many hours each day studying her beloved Bible. She felt her greatest accomplishment in life was having the joy of leading her children to Christ. Her every waking moment revolved around seeing to the needs of her family. She was a wonderful cook. Her all time most beloved meal was turnip greens, butter beans, and cornbread. When her family heard she was preparing her specialty they all gathered in to enjoy the fruits of their mother’s labor! In her spare time she loved growing both vegetable and flower gardens. She was a very talented musician who played guitar, and the keyboard. Her family spent many enjoyable hours joining in with her playing her beloved gospel music. The joy and love that she spread to all she knew will long be remembered.

She is survived by two daughters, Angelia Jones of Stockbridge, GA., and Christine Moss (Toney) of Franklin, GA.; five sons, Daniel Hambrick (Barbara) of Franklin, GA., Tommy Hambrick also of Franklin, GA., Robert Hambrick (June) of Locust Grove, GA., Charles Hamrick of Franklin, GA., and Clint Hamrick of Franklin, GA.; one sister, Nell Harper of Union City, GA.; one brother David Shedd of Tyrone, GA.; nineteen grandchildren; and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Daniel Hamrick, Jr., and a dear sister, Frankie Ann Cox.
