When Kari and I were living in Washington, DC, we started homebrewing. Paul caught wind of this and asked what the name of our brew was. When the next Christmas holiday came, he had designed this sign for us and had a buddy make it. When it came to gifts for others, Paul was very thoughtful and creative!

The newspaper clip that Darrell posted is from April 1973. Mark Yetter was our coach and the four of us (Paul Vanhoven, me, Paul, Darrell DiGiovanni) were 8 and unders at a relay meet. There were 8 relays and we won 7 gold medals and 1 bronze. Our coach Mark called us the 'Mark Spitz Relay!'
