CONDOLENCES

June 4, 2011

The Pain of a loss reflects how deeply our hearts have loved.

God knows the depth of your love

and only He can bring

the comfort your heart needs.

We pray He will give you peace

and strength as you go through

this time of grieving.

With deep sympathy, prayer, and love.

WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU

June 4, 2011

When I must leave you for a little while

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you through the years,

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake and in my name,

Live on and do all things the same.

Feed not your loneliness on empty days

But fill each waking hour in useful ways.

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer;

And I, in turn will comfort you and hold you near,

And never, never be afraid to die,

For I am waiting for you in the sky.

OBITUARY

June 4, 2011

Pearl Violet Brown was born January 15, 1923 as  loving product of the late Kortwright and Florence Benjain's union.

Pearl received her education in the public school system in New York City. In her teen years, Pearl saw the need to assist her mother in caring for her siblings, so she put off continuing her education to help raise her sisters and brothers. Pearl grew-up in the church and accepted Christ as her personal Savior until the end.

Pearl was united in holy matrimony to the late Arnold Jacob Brown. They were blessed with two children, Larry and Wayne Brown. Pearl worked as a seamstress, manufacturing bathing suits. She retired when her health failed.

Mommy worked on her home and took care of her family. She did not like deoctors. Sadly, she did not visit them. She would say "I don't want to know."

Pearl played the piano at a young age.  Liked to sing, loved Julio Eglesiss, kept a clean home and cooked for us. Many holiday dinners was always a feast for her family.

What could bring comfort at such a time as this, when we mourn the passing of such a dear and sweet person!

She leaves to cherish and embrace her memories two sons, Larry and Wayne Brown; grandchildren, Earl Daniel Mitchell, India Lois Sneed, Kydan and Janaya Brown; great grands, Earl Junior, Elija Mitchell, Amelie Mitchelle Clermont, Tairah Monique; sister Ruby Benjamin; brother, Kortwright Benjamin; cousins, Grethel Joseph and Herman Jordan, Michael and Edith Benjamin, Stacey Benjamin, Mark Benjamin, Troy Benjamin, Douglas Colon,, Darrell Colon and a host of other family and friends.

DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP

June 2, 2011

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glint of snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning lush,

I am the swift, uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight.

I am the soft sunlight at night.

PEARL BROWN HAS TRANSENDED THIS LIFE, SHE IS LIVING A NEW LIFE THAT GOD ALONE GIVETH!
