Guys,

Mr. Perry and Ms. Martha were the first people from Union Community that I met other than Linda's family. Linda and I started dating in 1963. She lived with her parents in the brick house at the crossroads that was later Pam's Dance studio. Linda's Daddy (Big Doc) worked with Mr. Perry at the dairy for many years which made their families very close.

Mr. Perry and Ms. Martha came to visit one afternoon while I was there and won my heart. I enjoyed their visit so much. Ms. Martha severed at our wedding. When Linda's mother lived alone, they helped us keep tabs on Mrs. Bailey and they would bring her groceries, etc.

I always enjoyed his stories and sense of humor. He was blessed by keeping his mentality and sense of humor even on our last visit when he was in Hospice he complained "I think this bed has rocks in it".

He will be greatly missed by us and the whole community.
All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to all of you. I wish that I could be there to express my sympathy in person and re-connect with all of you cousins. As I get older, I appreciate more and more the family roots and connections. It is interesting to me that there are so many of the first cousins of the Williams family that are still with us. I enjoy hearing from my mother about the family dinners at Ma's house and the family gatherings. I will be thinking about you tomorrow and in the days ahead. With sympathy, Sally Shaver
