His Life

Lucio Pedro Aguado

August 7, 2011

Daddy Pete was known to many as Pete Aguado. He was born in Manila, Philippines to Marcella Del Rosario and Lucio Ramiro Aguado. Lola Marcella(Grandma in tagalog) was born in the Philippines. Lolo (Grandpa in tagalog) was born in Villadolid, Spain. That makes the Children half Filipino and half Spaniard. The Aguados had 4 chidren Cely, Leonie, Pete , and Mike. Daddy Pete's family spoke spanish and english with a few tagalog at home. Lolo Aguado passed away when Daddy Pete was only 15 years old. The family then stayed at the Joaquin family in Quezon City until they found a place where they permanently settled. The Joaquin family was so gracious and generous to open their home to them.

Daddy Pete was a good sales person. He worked for Purefoods Corporation, SC Johnson and later opened his own trading company called McPeerson Tradehouse. The Mc is for the three Marias, our Mom, Maria Consuelo "Connie", Maria Christina "Mari Chris" (the eldest daughter) and Maria Catherina "Cathy" (the middle daughter), Peer is for his name Pete and Son is for Ricardo Miguel" Dicky (the Son). He was a great businessman together our Mom. They both ran a very succesful business and we had a good life. Then Dad decided to buy 5 fishing trolls that caught fish, lobster and prawns, as a hobby. He hired a few fishermen on a daily basis and sold wholesale to wholesalers. The boats would dock at 5:30 am at the pier and the buyers are already lined up to buy the catch of the day from his boats. Our family had an abundant supply of lobsters and prawns. It was great. We gave some away to neighbors, friends and relatives. Our family really lived the life with Nannies, maids, drivers, messengers, secretaries and a security guard at work and at home. We were brought up well and went to exclusive private schools our entire life. This was just the prime of our life.

Later on his life, he suffered several strokes. He was then not able to work anymore, But Dad's artistic side came out of him and he decided to start painting with oil as his medium. He then moved to Baguio, the summer capital of the Philipines where the air was cooler than Manila. It was like San Francisco weather and there one can buy fresh vegetables, fruits (mostly organic)  and freshly made fruit marmalade made by the Nuns from a Convent. He really loved it there. And that is where he passed away at Baguio Medical Center.

Daddy Pete is survived by his wife Connie Aguado, Children: Mari Chris  Aguado, Cathy Aguado Becker, Dickie Aguado, Joseph Roy, Ronnie, Acy, Ancy and JR. He was predeceased by father Lucio Ramiro Aguado in 1947, Mother Marcella Aguado , his younger brother Mike Aguado on Feb 10,1999 and survived by his sisters Cely Wenceslao and Leonie Faustino, He also had many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and a lot of extended families.

Dad has gone to a beautifu place called heaven. He is now pain free. He has no more worries, no more tears and always happy. He is now back to his good looking ways we call in Spanish "Simpatico". We will all see him again someday in heaven . Rest in peace dear Dad. We will always love you and keep your memory alive. This website is solely dedicated to your Legacy.
