Peter J. Dawson, of Magnolia, NJ age 65 loving husband, father and brother died on June 30, 2018 following a long illness.He is survived by his wife, Rise’ (nee Sobel), sons Joshua and his wife Elaine, Reid, and Jeremy Dawson, step daughters Nancy (nee O’Connor) Doughty, and Melissa (O’Connor) Siegel and grandchildren Jacob Siegel, Rebecca Siegel, Andrea Doughty and Bernard Dawson, and 4 brothers and 4 sisters and 18 nieces and nephews. Peter served as town councilman in Magnolia Borough from 1987 to 1989.He was a lector and on church council at St. Gregory’s RC Church in Magnolia and taught CCD at St. Isaac Jogues in Marlton, NJ.
Peter was born to Edward and Eleanor Dawson (deceased) on January 28, 1953 and grew up in Philadelphia, Pa. and was educated at St. Martin of Tours, Father Judge High School, St. Joseph’s University and Temple School of Law.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at St. Casimir’s RC Church, 304 Gray St., Woodbine, NJ. Viewing will be from 10 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.Interment will follow at Steelmantown Cemetery, 101 Steelmantown Road, Woodbine, NJ.
