PFC Finch, a Calvary scout with the 23rd Sabre Squad, HHT, 2nd squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary headquartered in Fort Hood, TX, was killed in action in Iraq Wednesday, December 8, 2010.
PFC Finch, loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, graduated from Humboldt High School in 2005 where he played football and received the Doug Atkins MVP award in 2004. He also graduated from Bethel University in 2009 where he played football from 2005 to 2009. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Army deployed to Operation Iraqi New Dawn.
PFC Finch was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Blondell Finch; uncles, Randy Finch and Wayne Rea; and grandfather, Jack Claunch. 
He is survived by his wife, Heather (Brown) Finch; parents, James David Finch; mother, Beth Neumann and step-father, Art Neumann of Humboldt; sister, Autumn Finch of Lexington; grandmother, Clarine Claunch of Bath Springs, TN; nieces, Jasmine Finch and Ryleigh Broadstreet; special friends, Jay Gregory and Cole Palmer; many other friends, and the 3rd ACH, Fort Hood, TX.
