holidays

February 7, 2011

me and my dad shared a lot of holidays together in Broad Haven, Pembrookshire. These were some of the best days of my childhood.

A typical day would consist of Dad getting up really early and painting, me staying in bed till about 10. having breakfast (normally cereal from one of those variety pack things) whilst looking out the window at and seeing what the weather was like.

As it was normally raining we would head out towards Solva (As dad would say "its always sunny in Solva") to do some shopping. If we were lucky enough to have sun then we would go down to Newgale beach and spend the day sunbathing, making sandcastles and playing in the sea. After this we would then go back to the caravan, get clean and head out tp the pub for dinner. When we got home we would sometimes play a board game or cards and then go to bed ready to do it all over again!

Although the waether was usually rubbish and sometimes it did get boring sitting in a caravan for most of the day these were some of the best days of my childhood. The best part was that something always went wrong (usually the van breaking down) which made these holidays very special.
