My PawPaw is the greatest man I've ever known. I miss him so much it hurts. When he died a part of me died. I know he is in a better place but I'm going to miss celebrating our birthday together. He had always said if he ever had a grand "young'un" born on his birthday he would give them $50.00 dollars. True to his word I was born December 18th 1976 he folded a fifty dollar bill down the middle and laid it in my hand, so I was told. I've been told he said I was the best birthday present he ever got but I think he was was mine. He always made our day special. He would come pick me up from school and take me out to eat, and would usually take me to town and buy me a little gift. Paw our birthday will never be the same without you. I love how important family was to him. He loved his family, and was such a family man. I'm the person I am today because of my PawPaw. He instilled in me the love of family, and to be a hard worker. I don't know how we are going to carry on without him. I know we will try, because he would be mad if we didn't stick together as a family. Pawpaw I love you so much, and your work here is done. We will make sure mawmaw and the babies are fed and are warm. Because you have never worried about yourself, you have always worried about everyone else. Your days of worry are over, you can rest easy now

Daddy was a loving husband to mama and father to 9 children. Hard working all his life and would give his shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. Never asking nothing in return.  My daddy loved to hunt, and fishing was his passion, I love him with all my heart. Today daddy went to meet Jesus. I can see him now, walking and running and singing with his new legs. He is now home. Today I would not tell him goodbye, I told him how much I loved him and I would see him later. Until we meet again, I will truely miss my fishing buddy, my daddy.
