Although my dad was born in Independence Missouri and died there also, he spent most of his life living in California. He lived with his parents and two younger sisters until the age of 17 when he enlisted in the US Navy where he spent 7 years serving. He married my mother Sharon at the age of 18 and together they had 4 children by the age of 24, three daughters and one son.
