The Life Of "Gene"

After a long struggle with dementia disease on the evening of August 27th, 2014 at the age of 75 Ralph went to be with Our Lord. His family and friends affectionately knew him as "Gene".

Gene was born and raised in Michigan on Febuary 14th, 1939, while later in life he met and feel in love with his wife Reba Mansell, and they resided and raised 8 children together in California, 3 sons & 5 daughters; Wanda J. Stapleton, Shirley A. Smith, Elmer "Leon" Stapleton, Linda M. Deam, Trudie J. Gilliam, Susan M. Stapleton, Robert L. Sager, and Thomas E. Sager, along with 9 Grandkids, 12 Great Grandkids, and a numerous of nieces, and nephews that all Loved and adored him.

Gene enjoyed playing golf, shuffleboard, shooting pool, and playing cards regularly in his spare time with family and friends.
He worked for Consolidated Freightways in both Santa Fe Springs, and Mira Loma, Ca. for nearly 40yrs. as a freight handler and was an expert forklift operator. He was known as a "Gentle Giant" by his co-workers.

Gene was truly Loving, Generous, and 1 of the Best Husbands, Dad/Father, Father-in-law, Brother, Son, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Brother-in-law, Friend, and Co-worker anyone could of ever had!

Gene is and will be Loved & Missed by a numerous of family and friends. May God rest his soul and keep him near. We will see and be together agian with him in Heaven.
