Remembering Randy...

Randall Morgan Hougland, 61,  of Seattle, WA, passed away on February 12, 2016, following a 9 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  Randy passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by the love of his family.   Randy was born on March 1, 1954,  in Kansas City, Missouri,  to David and Ruth Hougland.  Randy graduated from Evergreen High School in 1972.   He was employed as a Journeyman Press Operator for 33 years with The King County Journal Newspaper/Northwest Media.  Always a loyal, and dedicated employee, Randy retired in January 2007.    Randy enjoyed Cars, Music, Animals, spending time with friends and family, the beauty of the ocean, and was an avid Seahawks  Football Fan.  Randy loved staying busy with various projects,  he possessed a vast knowledge, and was exceptionally  talented at creating beautiful home landscape projects, as well as home remodeling projects.  Randy was a man of exquisite taste and great class.  Every project that Randy completed always reflected his own special "flair", for all things beautiful and elegant.   Randy was a devoted father, always participating in various activities with his two children.   Ever generous with both his time and his resources, Randy enjoyed giving much more than receiving.  Everyone he met became his friend, he was a true friend to so many.   A proud man, quick witted, with an infectious humor, he loved making others laugh and smile.  Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He was truly, "a one of a kind."   Randy is preceded in death by his Mother Ruth Hougland, Father David Hougland, and Brother David (Bud) Hougland.   Randy is survived by his wife Cari Hougland, his sister Nancy Greenup,  twin sister Janet Hougland, sister Cathy (Ty) Maras, his children, son Morgan Hougland, daughter Kendall Hougland, stepdaughter Carolyn Creasia, stepson Nick Creasia, nieces Ashley Greenup and Melissa Hougland, and his late father's life partner Sue Coffman.      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Avenue North,  Suite 300,  Seattlle, WA  98109   The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Providence Hospice of Seattle, for their support and care in Randy's final days...
