His Life

He was born March 26, 1930 in Decatur, Michigan to Maxwell and Mildred Etter Jacobs. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1961 and practiced in Hillsdale, MI from 1971 until his retirement in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Russian language specialist, worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Research Scientist, taught at Michigan State University, and was a Master Gardener. He had many varied interests including magnetic therapy, culinary arts and gardening. He served on many civic and professional boards throughout his life. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Marie Seaman Jacobs, and five children, Pamela (Todd) Winchester, New Smyrna Beach, FL; David (Lana) Jacobs, Coldwater, MI; Karen (Robert) Cole, Tampa, FL; Jefray Jacobs, Punta Gorda, FL; and Julie (Kyle) Brunk, Fort Gratiot, MI. He leaves behind seven loving grandchildren: Holly (Heather) Price, Jay Easterday, Jacob Winchester, Brian Boyd, Maxwell Jacobs, Jordan Jacobs and Olivia Brunk and one great grandchild, Mark Kaijankoski. He is survived by a brother, Roger (Barbara) Jacobs of Zephyrhills, Fl.
