I am deeply sorry to learn today from a friend of mine that Regina Blass passed away. I met Regina virtually when I sent her an email telling her that I was very interested in discourse markers, she wrote back right away and said she would be iterested in discussing discourse markers with me. Later on I bought Regina's book and became friends with her on Linkedin, I have always hoped to meet her in person and have the honor to share with her my ideas. She has been and will be one of the great scholars whose work has inspired many of us.
