My Wonderful Dad
It seems like only yesterday I had to say Goodbye to my dad and it has been two years since his passing. My dad always told me never to say, "goodbye" but always say, "so-long". My dad was always there for me. I remember when I was small, my Dad would always buy me Slim Jims because he knew I liked them, to cher me up when I was sick, and they always made me feel better. My Dad had a beautiful heart, and I could always count on him in good times and bad. We came from a very poor family and he always made the best of what little we had and I was grateful to receive anything from him. I remember it was winter time and I did not have a coat to keep me warm, so he took me to Bloomingdale's where we lived in Stamford, and had me pick out any coat and when I did, he said, "it looks beautiful sweetheart". It made me feel very happy and loved.
I remember singing with my Dad while he played the Acordion and we made beautiful music together, and brought joy to many people. My Dad had a beautiful voice that would fill a room and bring much joy and happiness to all of the patrons. My Dad had a beautiful heart and meant the world to me. So remember always, my Dad, my Angel, it is not "goodbye"; it is "so-long" and I will see you in my dreams. Your loving daughter, Maryanne XXXXXOOOOO
