memories with the uncle

March 3, 2015

July forth 2007 I made an unsuspecting visit to california to see my dad. ( dino ). when I got there my uncle Reno was there at grandma's.( Shirley). When I got out of the car Reno was so excited to see me after years and years he started to wrestle with me. It got a little too ruff.  I ended up head butting him and split his forehead open. Don't worry it was just a scratch but he was such a baby ! He cried to grandma even!! Ha ha ha ..after that I felt pretty tuff ! My uncle Reno was such a cool guy! This is the first memory I have with him! In  2013 When I heard that he was sick and in the hospital I called him and we talked a few times before he passed .  I remember how humble he was and he told me he was ready for anything that could happen .  It felt like my uncle and I have been close for years but in reality I'm the long lost niece! He talked about his life, and told me to change my life  .  At this time I was in trouble with the law, and was using drugs.  After talking with him those few times it kinda always stuck with me! A few weeks later I got the call from my dad that  Reno had passed . I never heard my dad cry before until that phone call and it then sunk in.  I was pretty bummed to hear. And often would think about him and would say short little prays in my head. A few weeks after that I got busted and ended up doing 11 months in jail. While in there I cleaned up and got my priorities straight. I've been out a year just about now and I'm doing better then I ever have before. I got married, became baylees mommy again and am on track! I know I wasn't around my uncle a lot and am distant but maybe my uncle is watching over me and helping my life come together! Rest in Pease uncle!! I'm glad we had our moments and they will forever me memories! I love you!
