Reva Turner Johnson, 67, a longtime resident of Wilmington passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, North Carolina.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Hall Turner. She was of the Pentecostal faith, a member of Apostolic Tabernacle Church and was very involved in prison and nursing home ministry.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 28th, 2013 at Gray Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kittrell, NC.
Surviving are one daughter, Tammy Turner Blackmon of Wilmington; two sisters, Nancy Turner Cordell of Ashville and Gwendolyn Turner McDuffie of Mebane; six brothers; Charles D. Turner of Coolemee, J. Harold Turner of Metairie Louisiana, John Turner of Durham, Jim Turner of Raleigh, Mac Turner of Wake Forest and Kenneth Turner of Youngsville, two grandsons and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip Turner and Nathan Turner.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 21st, from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. prior to the graveside service at Gray Rock United Methodist Church in Kittrell, N.C.
Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Johnson Family.
