Sr Mary Theresa una was born on the 11th May 1926 at Afaha oku to chief Alban una Umoren of Afaha oku and madam Mary naw udtong of kilt udoro oku. She started her primary education at Anura convent school from 1935 to 1942. She was baptized into catholic faith in November 30th 1935, received communion that same year and confirmed in 1936. At the completion of her standard six, she was sent to mean uruan to learn how to teach. There her desire to serve God as a nun grew stronger and she communicated to her brothers who encouraged her. She was hooded on 6th January 1944, clothed on 16th February 1947 had her first profession on 16th April 1950 and final vows on 10th January 1960.    Download image .jpg
