WINDOW                       by Reza Alexander Daneshvar                  8/8/12

somewhere in your heart

is a window

where you can reach through

and find me

hasn’t it always been so?

and somewhere in your memory

you know

that time stops, when two hearts touch

hasn’t that always been true?

on earth and in my world

when you dream, when you pray

waking or sleeping

you set your spirit free

to fly to me

with no roads, no barriers

through the open window

the one you always knew

On the time line of our lives fit the memories that last,
Every in and out of daily life over the years that have past,.

Segments of people, places a calendar of events,
Drifting through our minds as dancing dreams in past tense.

Even if we've moved away or have simply got older,
Even if we've made new choices, or turned a new leaf over.

Our memories that fill our soul and create who we are,
Are shared by those who's paths we've crossed so they'll never be too far.

In time some of us must pass, giving heaven another soul,
Taring a rent in the fabric of our lives, we can feel that hole.

There is a space that's opened because a life has ceased,
That person might have gone, but they have gone to find peace.

A human life is never gone, it is never truly severed,
They are alive in our hearts and in our minds, on this day and forever.

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.

He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes, He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

Boss Man...

September 5, 2012

Oh gosh where do I begin?..well for starters I met Reza when he was 13 yrs. old, its funny how time flies, right before your eyes! When I came too he and his Sister Michelle were all grown up and now off to College, to become the GREATEST DUO ever..LOL..I remember trying to get Authorization for his breathing machine and having the insurance give me such a hard time, I swore I would never tell Sean, but I literaly told the rep, "This insurance really sucks! and you are an inconsiderate ASS!!..but I got The Authorization for the machine ..Just recently I would call him Boss Man, cause I was soo sure he would sign my check and approve my raise one day ()..Reza was soo full of life even though I knew he would struggle with his illness, but he never showed his weakness. I am trully blessed to have met him, and I will never forget you "Boss Man"! May you find Peace in the Lord's Arms..Love Lucy..

A POEM FOR REZA

TEAR DROPS FALL SLOW AND STEADY;

THE PAIN IS SO REAL AND TRUE.

GOD TOOK ANOTHER ANGEL FROM US,

AND THAT ANGEL WAS YOU.

MEMORIES AND PRAYERS,

WE ARE ALL MOURNING YOU.

BUT WE’LL CELEBRATE THE LIFE YOU LED,

WE’LL NEVER FORGET YOU

I KNOW GOD WOULD LOOK AFTER YOU,

NOW SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND FLY.

YOU WILL BE MISSED AND LOVED,

BUT NOW WE SAY GOOD BYE.

NO MORE TEARS AND PAIN JUST GO AND REST,

LET YOUR SOUL LIE PEACEFULLY

WE KNOW YOU DID YOUR BEST.

YOU SHARED A FEW SECRETS

YOU BRIGHTENED UP OUR DAYS

TOLD US A FEW STORIES IN YOUR FUNNY WAYS

FAREWELL MY DEAR FRIEND REZA

IT’S TIME TO LET YOU GO

YOUR FRIENDSHIP WAS A BLESSING

AND WE WILL MISS YOU SO.

The Day God Called You Home

September 5, 2012
The day God called you home

God looked around his garden
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth,
And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw that the road was getting rough.
And the hills are hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you

That day that god called home

May your soul rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy,

A Prayer of Comfort:

September 5, 2012

A Prayer of Comfort:

 Dear Lord,

Please help me in this time of loss and overwhelming grief. I don't understand why my life is filled with this pain and heartache. But I turn my eyes to you as I seek to find the strength to trust in your faithfulness. I will wait on you and not despair; I will quietly wait for your salvation. My heart is crushed, but I know that you will not abandon me forever. Please show me your compassion, Lord. Help me through the pain so that I will hope in you again. I believe this promise in your Word to send me fresh mercy each day. Though I can't see past today, I trust your great love will never fail me.
Amen.

In Your Quiet Time by Reza Alexander Daneshvar 8/1/12

In Your Quiet Time       by Reza Alexander Daneshvar       8/1/12

in your quiet time

listen for my voice in the stillness

feel me close to you

I am the same soft sound you always heard

whenever my heart was calling yours

nothing has changed

when you think of me

your hand resting on your cheek

will become my hand, believe it

and my love will flow like honey

through your fingers

whenever you let it

I am the trees that surround you

in the deep dark forest of feelings--

let go, be joyful, do not fear

I will be with you

in your quiet time

in the center of your heart

nothing has changed

THE ROAD FORWARD               by Reza Alexander Daneshvar      7/30/2012

when your heart looks down

to what is no longer there

and you grieve for what you have lost

ask yourself:

wouldn’t you rather have heaven?

do you know you can fly

to faraway places

where the sun laughs at your sadness

and melts it away like morning dew

and my kisses, that fall on you

constantly, like rain

do not let them fall in vain

take them into your soul

and nourish new leaves, new green shoots

new smiles from your heart

my loving eyes watch over you

I feel your sadness, your laughter

please, dear one, for my sake

do not choose despair

wouldn’t you rather have heaven?

LOVE ETERNAL (Reza’s Poem)

September 5, 2012

I felt Reza’s presence with me when I wrote this poem—

It is what he wants his family and loved ones to know…

LOVE ETERNAL  (Reza’s Poem)

If I could whisper in your ear

dearest one

I would tell you

of love eternal

I would reach out and touch you

with this hand

you held so dear

that is no longer solid,

but pure light

I am here, my love

with the promise of bluer skies

and brighter stars

to share with you

a small piece of my heaven

and dear one, I would put inside your heart

the joy, the release

the infinite freedom

of my new home

where I run, play, dance

where pain and sorrow are unknown

and love

bridges all distances

with the smallest whisper
