Rhoda Bermudez was born in the Republic of Panama, Panama City, on June 30, 1935 to Conrad Hoyte and Rhoda Miller. Rhoda was born the 7th of 8 children.

She later married Mario Bermudez and raised not only 4 of her own children (Mario, Carmen, Camillo, and Luis), but also 2 of her grandchildren (Mario Jr. and Ricardo), who know her as their mother. In addition to her children and 3 siblings, she leaves behind a great extended family which includes 9 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.

In the early 1980s, Rhoda moved to the United States and was employed in Health Care and also found time to perform volunteer work. She was a true angel of God who walked this Earth until it was time to go home. Rhoda made friends easily, and always put others before herself. She spent time reading from her Bible daily, praying and being there for others in their time of need.

Memories of her will last forever.
