Richard Abbott Farrar, age 89 of Lanett, passed away after midnight on Thursday, February 18, 2016.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM EST at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point.

Services will be at 2:00PM EST on Sunday with Reverend Mark Roughton officiating.

Committal service will follow at Fredonia Methodist Church Cemetery. 

Services have been entrusted to McCarthy Funeral Home, West Point, Georgia.

I am so sorry for the family's sorrow. I just found out today, that Richard had passed. He was such a delight, and a wonderful friend. When we worked with him and Jane at Rocky Point, I looked out the window one day, and Richard was zipping down the road on my, then, ten year old's scooter! He was always so young at heart and a joy to be around.
