Richard was the 3rd child born of David and Joyce (Ludwig) King of Grindstone,  PA.
He has two brothers, David Jr. and Brian. One sister Susan (King) Blanda
Most would say Itch was a little rotten and mischievous while growing into a young adult. He then met Cheryl (Chisler) and they became one on May 6th, 1983. Yet still being rotten, he began a new chapter in his life and moved to   Republic, PA. He started a family of his own and had 3 wonderful children for whom he truely loved and was very proud of. David being born July 31st, 1983. Sarah being born July 12th, 1988 and Richard Jr, being born July 20th, 1989. He supported his family, spending many nights away from home being a self employed truck driver in which he would sometimes take Cheryl or the children with him and then he moved onto working for ACF until his health issues would no longer allow it. He could not always give his family what they wished for or could not always be home with them but he tried the best he knew how. Itch's saddest times through life was the loss of his brother David and friends Robbie Yothers, Dave Fertal and Buddy Miller. Later in life he was blessed with two beautiful granddaughters. Baylee King born June 12th, 2013 and Maci Perkins born December 21, 2013. He loved them both more then life itself. He would just light up when they would come to see their pappy. Other enjoyments in his life were spending time with his family and friends, swimming, partying, going to flea markets, riding motorbikes and atv's, camping, watching movies, playing poker, throwing horseshoes, truck pulls, mud bogging and we must never forget his love for Ford Trucks. He had a great personality, a beautiful smile and truely enjoyed life. He would never let anyone take that away from him. He was such a  carefree person and lived day to day!  What a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and friend he was!
