This was the first fish fry we had together and it was so much fun.

For two years Richard would came down to Wisconsin and we had a fish fry. It was something that we all looked forward too and enjoyed as a way to catch up.

One day years ago I was visiting my dad in Houston and we were all set to barbecue steaks for dinner.  We tried to light the grill but found that the propane tank was empty.  It was a Sunday and back then, there weren't many stores near Fry Road and I-10, believe it or not, and those stores we checked were closed or had no propane.  So...we're driving along a side road (Dad always loved the side roads and shortcuts!) and he sees an 18-wheel propane truck pulled over on the side of the road.  As we drive by, we see the driver is eating a sandwich on a break.  Dad pulls over in front of the truck, gets out of the car and knocks on the driver's door.  He explains that we're out of propane and asks the guy for a refill!  The guy laughs and says "sure!" and fills our tank!  My dad could always find a way...
