Let the memory of Richard be with us forever. His humor, good nature and loving kindness live on in each of us, keeping his spirit alive to carry on, in every smile, laugh and good deed. | ![]() |
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Richard Kendig who was born on April 12, 1933 and passed away on November 8, 2003. We will remember him forever.
Beloved husband of Loretta A. (DeRubeis) Kendig. Devoted father of Gary Richard Kendig and his wife Zafrien of Medway and Lisa Ellen Miano and her husband Edward of Medfield and the late Dana Stuart Kendig. Loving brother of Phyllis E. Caruso and Rea S. Kendig II. Grandfather of Alianna and Gavin Kendig and Michael, Jessica and Danielle Miano. Son of the late Eleanor E. (Leacy) Kendig and Rea Stanley Kendig.
Richard began his career at Price Waterhouse in 1951 after graduating from Bentley College. In 1973, Richard fulfilled a lifelong dream by leaving the comforts of a major firm and starting out on his own, forming Tape, Shannon & Kendig. Richard fulfilled a second dream in 2000 by going into partnership with his daughter Lisa, forming Kendig & Miano, LLC based in Lexington MA. Sadly, that partnership was short-lived as Richard lost his battle with cancer in 2003 and passed away, leaving the legacy to be carried on by his daughter Lisa, who proudly carries on the traditions and examples established by her father.
Richard was a Veteran of the United States Marines, Korean Conflict, stationed in Okinawa Japan.
Memories and stories are welcome in this memorial and celebration of Richard's life.
